Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use this website?
The easiest way to use the ATA site is to use the body map. Simply drag your mouse over the part of the body you are interested in and you will see what types of self treatment/injury advice are available for that region. Each region has a ‘how-to’ section that reviews how and when to use the five parts of the ATA self treatment system. These include: self muscle massage, mobilization techniques, stretching, kinesiology taping, strengthening, and maintenance strategies.
Is there specific injury guidance?
Yes. The ATA site is currently featuring an "Injury of the Week" series. These will be added to the corresponding region how-to pages as we go. You can also find them in the blog or through our newsletter.
What if I don't see my injury?
We have a list of over 100 common sports injuries that we are working our way through. If you don't see your injury and would like to move it up the list, simply drop us an email.
